About Salvatore Gullifa

Salvatore is anal retentive. Fortunately that’s only when it comes to craft in advertising. When that happens, though, it’s best to leave the man alone and come back a few hours later to the masterpiece he has meticulously put together. Of course, when you then say, “Holy shit, that’s amazing,” he’ll say he isn’t happy and needs another couple of hours.

It’s this crazy attention to detail that’s seen him lead VCCP Sydney and Oliver Amsterdam as Creative Director, and hold Head of Art positions at BSUR and Strawberry Frog Amsterdam

A production specialist, Salvatore is happiest on set. Some claim to have seen him levitating from all the energy he brings. He describes the feeling akin to that of skateboarding on rough terrain, then hitting the smoothest piece of tarmac.

The Gullifa is also a manic film photographer and has been documenting Sydney’s beaches in his own unique style combining gold leaf and shellac. Salvatore’s stunning artworks are represented by The Gallery Club in Amsterdam.

He’s co-founder of the content house; FAMA
fuckadsmakeart.com – celebrating the importance of the creative side hustle.
A place to showcase Creatives art projects and inspire others to do the same.

He has more cameras than he has clothes, and he has more clothes than most people (even art directors). He’s also a hardcore foodie and once dragged me all the way across town just to eat a Cannoli. For your own sanity, do not start a discussion with him on medium format cameras, French worker jackets, or pasta sauce.
